X-Cite is the new manual 3D coordinate measuring machine from WENZEL for quick and easy verification of simple parts. The small footprint system enables small and medium-sized companies an economical entry into the world of 3d metrology.

Third party engineering is an integral part of motorsport JRM Group's activities. Its purpose-built Daventry workshop is equipped with state-of-the-art CNC machine technology and by using the latest CAD CAM software, JRM is able to compress the time from design to manufacture via a tried, tested and rapid prototyping procedure, through to the production and delivery of fully inspected and traceable finished components.

Hardly a manufacturing process provides such high demands on production-related information technology as assembly: automated and manual production steps go hand in hand, client orders, ranging from large-scale production to the smallest lots and the number of product variants can be overwhelming. To improve in this heterogeneous environment, the efficiency of work processes and the global market requirements for quality verification and 100 percent trace-ability, offers a business solution tailored to user’s needs.

IndySoft’s version 9.0 of their top three main products, IndySoft Calibration and Asset Management software, IndySoft Commercial Lab Calibration software and  IndySoft Tool Management software, are now available for download.

With the new Leitz PMM-Xi, Hexagon Metrology is aiming specifically at small and medium-sized manufacturing companies, for whom the extremely precise coordinate measuring machines, the Leitz PMM-C and Leitz Infinity, were unaffordable – until now.

At first sight, they look like simple dice – but in fact, they are highly precise measuring equipment: AICON’s measuring adapters for the measurement of geometric features such as holes, edges, corners or surface points. And AICON has had this product development patented. AICON Patent is now clearly readable on every adapter!

Any technology totally dependent on optics – for example modern-day data communications – relies on the components that make up the high-tech systems being manufactured to specifications that are becoming tighter with each new generation.

Scantron’s new Masterspeed range of non-contact laser Doppler gauges are available with built in zero-speed sensing. They automatically detect direction and take highly accurate speed and length measurements, even if the line stops or goes into reverse.

The Prodim TubeCheck system checks each tube as it comes off the roller for angles, radii and lengths.  It  compares the measured tube with the original design, with results displayed on a touch screen - any deviations can be made transparent. If the tube is correct, a quality report can be printed and attached to the tube or stored.

Renishaw has introduced significant new additions to its range of radio transmission probe systems, including an interface that allows multiple probe installations on the same machine tool, and a new compact tool setting probe with radio signal transmission which is ideal for larger machines.
