Linear measurement automates easily

A new line of accurate and economical linear measurement instruments designed for easy interface with automation and PLC systems has been introduced by Solartron Metrology, a unit of AMETEK, Inc.

Plug-and-Play calliper connectivity

Hexagon Metrology's Brown & Sharpe TWIN-CAL IP67 Callipers has built-in output connection and is IP67 compliant with its main components encapsulated and protected from shop floor contaminants such as dust, oil and coolants. The Callipers can be used wirelessly or with a cable using the new plug-and-play TLC (TESA Link Connector). This digital calliper is suitable for countless applications in the metrology laboratory or on the production floor, often in combination with mechanical instruments or stationary machines.

New dial gauges from Mahr have a radio and reference system for faster measurements and more freedom of movement. Thanks to the reference system, the gauge no longer needs to be set to zero and can send data to the computer via radio frequency. In practice this means: faster measurements, more freedom of movement and convenient documentation of measurement data.

Taylor Hobson's CCI MP-HS instrument is non-contact optical profiler featuring a high speed 1 MP camera which, combined with 1/10 Ångstrom vertical resolution, delivers detailed analysis of all surface types, from very rough to extremely smooth.
