Driven by the need for accurate measurement to engineering drawings and for process control on the shopfloor, CMMs have become the universal instrument of choice for QC and production functions.

At the association’s recent Annual General Meeting, Geoff Highley was proposed and accepted as the new President of the GTMA. Having been involved with the GTMA for the past 12 years he is well known to many of the members, and he will retain the office of President for at least the next two years. He says: “I am pleased to have the support of a board that has a wealth of experience, history and heritage, but with a clear plan for the future.”
